问病史 Eye Symptoms and Health History

By the end of this module you can…

• Ask about blurry vision, floaters, flashes, pain, redness and other symptoms in the patient’s own words.
• Pin down which eye, since when, and whether it came on suddenly or gradually, then say it back.
• Use the patient’s word when you talk and the chart word when you write: 眼屎 and 分泌物.
• Ask about diabetes, blood pressure, past eye surgery, glaucoma in the family, medicines, drops and allergies.
• Screen for the red flags, and know when it is the doctor now or 911.
