放疗 Radiation Therapy Day by Day
Guide a patient through radiation in Mandarin: simulation, marks, the daily visit, skin care, side effects and when to call.
By the end of this module you can…
- Explain radiation therapy, the simulation visit and the skin marks or mask, in plain words.
- Explain the daily schedule, and say which session today is and how many are left.
- Guide a treatment: identity, position, holding still, the camera and the intercom.
- Teach skin care, tiredness and the side effects of the treated area, and explain that external radiation does not make a patient radioactive.
- Say the signs that need the team today, respond to worry, and leave results to the doctor.

- 请您说一下您的名字和出生日期。Qǐng nín shuō yí xià nín de míng zi hé chū shēng rì qī.Please tell me your name and date of birth.
- 今天是定位，不是治疗。Jīn tiān shì dìng wèi, bú shì zhì liáo.Today is planning, not treatment.
- 放疗一般是每天一次，周一到周五。Fàng liáo yì bān shì měi tiān yí cì, zhōu yī dào zhōu wǔ.Usually once a day, Monday to Friday.
- 照射的时候请躺好别动，正常呼吸就行。Zhào shè de shí hou qǐng tǎng hǎo bié dòng, zhèng cháng hū xī jiù xíng.Lie still and breathe normally.
- 我们在外面，通过摄像头一直看着您，也能听到您说话。Wǒ men zài wài miàn, tōng guò shè xiàng tóu yì zhí kàn zhe nín, yě néng tīng dào nín shuō huà.We watch and hear you from outside.
- 有不舒服就举手或者说话，我们马上停下来。Yǒu bù shū fu jiù jǔ shǒu huò zhě shuō huà, wǒ men mǎ shàng tíng xià lai.Raise a hand or speak, and we’ll stop.
- 体外放疗不会让您身上带辐射。Tǐ wài fàng liáo bú huì ràng nín shēn shang dài fú shè.External radiation won’t make you radioactive.
- 照射的部位用温水轻轻洗，不要搓，不要晒太阳。Zhào shè de bù wèi yòng wēn shuǐ qīng qīng xǐ, bú yào cuō, bú yào shài tài yáng.Wash gently, don’t scrub, no sun.
- 皮肤起水疱、破了或者流水，请马上告诉我们。Pí fū qǐ shuǐ pào, pò le huò zhě liú shuǐ, qǐng mǎ shàng gào su wǒ men.Blistered, broken or weeping skin: tell us now.
- 效果怎么样，医生会跟您详细解释。Xiào guǒ zěn me yàng, yī shēng huì gēn nín xiáng xì jiě shì.The doctor will explain how it’s going.
