Module 11 of 12 · 超声中文 Ultrasound
特殊病人 Children, Older Adults and Bedside Scans
Adapt any scan in Mandarin: warm words for children and parents, patience for older adults, and care at the bedside and in isolation.
By the end of this module you can…
- Talk to a child simply and warmly, and keep the parent involved.
- Help a child keep still: a parent’s arms, a cartoon, a brave sticker.
- Adapt for older adults: slower, louder, written down, family included.
- Talk a patient through a bedside scan: tubes, lines, isolation and the nurse.
- Keep talking to patients who can’t answer, and bring in an interpreter when it matters.
